Meet the DIE4ART Founder
Naomi L.A. ‘Baudelaire’ Smith’s work is politically aware, creatively empowering and spiritually grounded. She has worked with the British Library, Ministry of Culture UAE, and has delivered keynote talks for University of Cambridge as well as universities across South Africa and USA.
Her philosophy is simple:
Social revolution starts with the self: If you are empty, burnt out and trapped in a life you hate, it becomes harder to challenge the systems around you. When you redefine what is possible in your own life, heal personal limitations, and reclaim your power, you stop believing the world is unchangeable. When you feel happy and empowered in life, you have the energy to empower others. When you are in possession of greater abundance, you have access to more resources that can fund social change. When you embrace risk and courage in your personal life, it is a lot easier to be brave in other necessary areas.
Naomi supports Women of Colour, particularly academics, creatives and ambitious women ready for change, to overcome fear, self-doubt and career confusion, so they can step into greater freedom, confidence and possibility, which will have an effect on wider society.
Her work invites women to question inherited ideas about truth, knowledge, power and success, and to create change in both their personal lives and the wider world.
Naomi’s approach is shaped by lived experience. After overcoming severe mental health challenges, including being sectioned twice during psychosis, and later taking a leap of faith to leave a racist workplace as an academic Global Black Studies Librarian, she chose to build a new path rooted in purpose and courage.
That path became DIE4ART.
Originally created to reset and reimagine the creative industry through political consciousness and cultural change, DIE4ART evolved into a holistic blend of spirituality, creativity, politics and wellness after Naomi realised that lasting structural change begins with individual transformation. Through 1:1 coaching, group coaching and workshops, Naomi helps women access the truth, power, knowledge, growth and personal freedom, which is needed for collective transformation.
She is now recognised as a Top 50 Voice of 2026 by Divas of Colour for her consistent empowerment of women, and was nominated for the 2026 Community Leadership Award by Caribbean Global Awards.
