My story is one of hope, transformation and power.

Despite being a high - achiever academically, with three degrees: including a MA in Race and Resistance and another in Library and Information Studies, I was very, very, VERY unhappy in my early - late twenties.

In 2019, I was hospitalised twice for psychosis and wanted to unalive myself.

I share more about the circumstances in my free ebook, but what matters here is this: I know what it feels like to hate your life. To feel trapped by your circumstances. To wake up every day disconnected from yourself, your purpose, and your power.

in 2020, I manifested a completely brand new life in London, which i believe was due to the 6-months of daily visualisation I began to do, after being handed The Seven Spiritual Laws Of Success as a last resort by my desperate family!

Over the next six years, I built a successful and international reputation within Critical Librarianship—a field dedicated to examining and challenging systemic inequalities within libraries and knowledge systems.

My work focused on curating Global Black Studies resources, decolonisation, social justice, and institutional change. I delivered keynote presentations for organisations including the University of Cambridge, the Black Caucus of the American Library Association (USA), and South Africa’s Breaking New Ground: Carving a Decolonised Collection Path Symposium.

I was invited by the British Library to provide guidance on their Black Collections and was recognised by IFLA and the Goethe-Institut as an Emerging International Voice. I also organised and hosted the global webinar Librarians for Critical Digital Justice (#CritLibVsTech) alongside UCL Information Studies, attracting more than 170 participants from around the world.

From the outside, my future appeared bright.

But behind the achievements, I was experiencing ongoing workplace microaggressions and a growing sense that I was not in alignment with my purpose.

With the help of my mentor,

In December 2024, I made a life-changing decision.

I walked away from my role and chose to take ownership of my future.

That decision became DIE4ART.

Originally, DIE4ART was created to challenge and reimagine the creative industries through political consciousness and cultural change. But over time, I realised something deeper:

Lasting social and industry transformation HAS to begin with personal transformation.

Systems matter. Structures matter. Politics matter.

But we cannot create a new world while carrying old wounds, limiting beliefs, and inherited narratives.

Broken people maintain Broken Systems.

So, today, DIE4ART sits at the intersection of spirituality, creativity, wellness and Decolonisation. I create Creative - Cosmological - Holistic Solutions for Personal and Structural challenges:

In under 18 months I have already been invited to share my philosophy on radio, recognised as a Top 50 Voice of 2026 by Divas of Colour for my consistent empowerment of women and was nominated for the 2026 Community Leadership Award by Caribbean Global Awards.
